Selected Accomplishments:

Development
team member in the design of the visual layout and logic functions
of an electronic weight and balance system (EWB) improving aircraft
performance, fuel efficiencies, accurate weight distribution, and
real-time fuel inventory reporting. This system provided more
accurate lead data for better flight performance and fuel management
saving $30 million annually.

Coordinated
staff, vendors and engineers to re-design the aircraft boarding
bridges and ramp aprons to improve efficient movement of aircraft at
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This improved plan was
prepared and presented to the airport authority architects and
engineering group. The result produced minimal aircraft wait time,
more efficient operation, improved safety, greater fuel efficiencies
and assisted the development of code-share operations saving over $1
million annually.

and executed capital improvement and employee productivity programs.
Managed cross-functional teams to optimize technology, labor,
facility design and security. Saved the company $4 million by
streamlining programs over a four year period.

Directed
cross-departmental projects with IT Department to pinpoint areas for
improvement. Developed more efficient Customer Service processes,
baggage handling system and employee staffing procedures to minimize
shortfalls. Output of the project was a staffing performance tool,
as a result, named Phoenix Management Employee of the Year.

Negotiated
with airport authority to have access to the international baggage
facility without entering into a formal lease agreement, saving
Southwest Airlines $350,000 annually. In addition, we developed a
new baggage handling system capable of processing 1,800 bags per
hour.

servicing costs. Designed and patented an Airport Security Screening
